Ohio weather keeps on doing its odd behavior. Fifty degrees one day, snow the next, negative temperatures, followed closely by weather like today. With the mercury rising just above forty, my son and I were out and about at one of our favorite parks, East Fork.
The trail was a little more wet than I would've liked today. With the big thaw going on, the trail was a giant mess. Between those wet conditions, and horse tracks, my son and I spent most of our hiking time off trail bushwhacking back to our car. At least off trail it was dry.
After jumping off of every downed tree, and stomping around in the mud for around an hour, we bushwhacked back to our car. An hour in the woods in February? I'll take it.
