Continuing the resolution of pushing the limits of fat bikes, I found myself riding along the river bottoms today, in this amazingly warm day in January. Sixty five degrees is definitely not the norm for Ohio this time of year. I'll take it though.
Even though it was incredibly warm, there still happened to be evidence of last week's cold. A frozen layer of ice covered a good section of the Little Miami River in the shadows, which was perfect to play around on.
After playing on the river, I started to explore an area that I have been dabbling with as of late. These river bottoms are littered with old ATV trails, which on this warm day was perfect. Perfect for fat tires I should add, as normal width tires would be swallowed whole by the soft ground. I love these river bottoms on days like this, when local single track is a swamp. The Ice Cream Truck is earning it's keep more and more.
